Molecular Imaging is a synthesis of many medical, scientific and technological trends which are pursued in different working groups within several established German societies for medical professionals, scientists and engineers.

"Interdisziplinaeres Netzwerk Molekulare Bildgebung n Kooperation mit den deutschen Fachgesellschaften" (Interdisciplinary German Network Molecular Imgaging) was founded as a complement to the existing societies. Therefore it is a lean organization which serves as a platform

• for knowledge exchange across the borders of the societies
• and for coordination of multidisciplinary work.
